When it comes to words and actions, we know that many who are experienced (and most of us are) prefer the latter. As the age old saying suggests, "actions are better than words". As a writer, I know all too well the power and promising nature of words, which can unfortunately fail a person's trust, and I therefore can somewhat agree to the theory that actions are better than words. Although many people feel that actions signify righteousness for the simple fact that actions yield results, we cannot exist peacefully in a world full of actions completed ill intent behind them.
When striving to live righteously, we must constantly examine our intentions whenever we act. Knowing that we've acted out of love and good intent, rather than hate and ulterior motive, we can live peacefully in expectation that we will receive a desirable reciprocation. To receive good, we must give what is good. Although many understand this concept, many only understand this concept as it exists in the eyes of others, but not in the eyes of the spiritual world. Reciprocity from good action comes not from people, but from the spiritual laws of the Universe and the creator. Faking righteousness and goodwill may fool people, but it will never fool the spiritual world, where the nature of reciprocity exists. If we desire for righteousness, favor, and goodwill to be given to us, such must exist in our intentions and hearts and not only in our actions and words.
